Short Courses 2025-2026

In-depth actor training.

These intensive short courses are designed for actors who want to grow rapidly through focused, high-impact training. They offer exceptional levels of on-camera experience. Whether you’re starting out, returning to training, preparing for screen work, or looking to deepen your technique, these courses offer a rigorous and transformative experience in very small groups.

Each intensive includes:
– Advanced training in a short time frame
– Small group sizes (max. 8 actors) for focused, personal attention
– Extensive camera work and playback analysis

The courses offer an in-depth exploration of both conscious techniques and the subconscious process, using cinema cameras,  and detailed playback analysis. The approach has been honed over many years at the UK’s leading drama schools. Jack creates a safe but challenging space for expanding learning. He understands different learning styles and adapts to each student and their needs.

From October 2025 onwards, each course is progressive—but you do not need to book them in sequence.

Note: The Demidov Advanced Character for Camera course requires prior experience with Demidov’s work.

Course Format

Length: 7 days (across two weekends + one catch-up session)
Hours per day: 9:30am–5:30pm (7 hours teaching per day)
Structure: One group of 8 actors working each day
Location: London SW8 (6 mins from Nine Elms Tube / 7 mins from Stockwell)

Courses

Demidov Advanced Character for Camera

Dates: September 5th- 7th & 12th - 14th & October 7th 2025, 9.30am- 5.30pm each day.

A deeper dive into the Demidov approach, integrating character transformation in scene work. For actors who have previous experience with Demidov. This work teaches actors how to deepen access to the subconscious, rehearse, and enhance access to character. You will shoot scene work in London. October 7th is a continuation day, a return to the work, re-enforcing the learning and encouraging continuing practice.

Experience in using Demidov’s work is essential.

Meisner for Camera

Dates: October 10–12 & 17–19 & November 1st 2025  9.30am- 5.30pm each day.

Learn to respond truthfully under imaginary circumstances using Sanford Meisner’s foundational exercises. This camera-focused intensive helps actors access spontaneity, truth, and live connection on screen. You will work both on and off camera as well as working with text and improvisation. This work teaches actors the foundation of conscious acting work. November 1st is a continuation day, a return to the work, re-enforcing the learning and encouraging continuing practice.

No experience necessary.

Demidov for Camera

Dates: Jan 16–18 & Jan 23–25 & March 4th 2026, 2026  9.30am- 5.30pm each day.

A practical introduction to Nikolai Demidov — an intuitive and liberating system that enables actors to access the subconscious and expand their access and ability. This work teaches actors the foundation of subconscious acting through Demidov’s Etudes. You will be encouraged to work with text in a new way and to have faith and trust in your true ability. March 3rd is a continuation day, a return to the work, re-enforcing the learning and encouraging continuing practice.

No experience necessary.

Demidov Advanced Character for Camera

Dates: Apr 24–26 & May 1–3, 2026 & June 3rd 2026, 9.30am- 5.30pm each day.

A deeper dive into the Demidov approach, integrating character transformation in scene work. For actors who have previous experience with Demidov. This work teaches actors how to deepen access to the subconscious, rehearse, and enhance access to character. You will shoot scene work in London. Summer Intensive 2026

Dates: 22nd -28th June 2026
